Why I got Botox…

The burning question a lot of you have asked. “Why did you get botox? You’re so young!” Well my answer is for preventative measures. Over time your skin produces less Collagen and truly I started noticing that. After having 3 kids, and working night shift I definitely noticed a difference in my skin with fine lines appearing in places they once weren’t. I know this is obviously apart of the aging process but I was ready for a change!

My experience at the Esthetic Center was truly comforting. My injector Jocelyn who is a Physician Assistant at the Esthetic Center walked me through the entire process. I was so nervous and instantly questioning what I got myself in to! Jocelyn was quick to make me feel comfortable and explained to me what to expect from the injections. After that we quickly got started. We iced my lip (for the lip flip) and she gave me a face vibe that helped distract me from each injection. The pain was in my opinion a 4/10. They felt like little pinches more or less in certain areas.

While Botox may not be for everyone. I live with the motto do what makes you happy, and I am so happy with my results! The beautiful thing about Botox is it is temporary! A lot of people have a misconception that it is permanent and while I personally wish it was it is something that I will be returning for every few months!

Here is what we injected and where! (100 units total)

  • 20 (glabella)

  • 10 units (forehead)

  • 9 units (around each eye)

  • 3 units (jelly roll)

  • 6 units (upper lip/lip flip)

  • 20 units (masseter)

I notice my full results on day 14. My favorite part of botox was the masseter injections. I have had TMJ for a few years. I grind my teeth nightly because of the injection I have noticed my faced slimmed since!

Needless to say I feel confident, I feel beautiful and I will be doing it again!
